JEE

Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) is an engineering entrance examination conducted for admission to various engineering colleges in India. It comprises two different examinations - JEE Main and JEE Advanced. Both exams follow an objective pattern, with JEE Advanced being internationally recognized as one of the most challenging undergraduate admission tests.

JEE Main consists of two papers: Paper-1 and Paper-2. Candidates may choose to take either or both papers. Both papers feature multiple-choice questions. Paper-1, conducted in both online and offline modes, is for admission to B.E./B.Tech courses. Paper-2, conducted offline only, is for admission to B.Arch and B.Planning courses.

JEE Main Participating Institutes – Engineering aspirants can check the list of participating institutes to find out which institutions will offer admissions based on their performance in the national-level entrance exam. Currently, there are 31 NITs, 23 IIITs, and 23 Centrally Funded Technical Institutions (CFTIs) participating in JEE Main. Candidates who clear JEE Main will be eligible to apply for admission to these participating institutes. JEE Main will be held on specific dates in online modes. The participating institutes will offer admissions to JEE Main qualifiers, provided they meet the specified eligibility criteria of the institutes to which they are applying. A total of 77 institutes (NITs, IIITs, and CFTIs) are considered as participating institutes for JEE Main, and admissions will be managed through a common counselling process - JOSAA.
